We (my wife & I) both have Virgin mobiles and are experiencing the same sort of problems. Whenever she makes a call the signal either drops off all together or the call becomes a garbled mess, and you end up having to end the call.
Similarly, I have real problems either connecting to the internet without wifi, or making calls.
We have noticed this happening after the recent storms to hit Scotland. Could it be that a mast has become damaged? Would appreciate it if someone could check this out for us.
as you're both having problems it sounds quite likely that there is a local area issue.
If you want to check on known faults or maintenance being carried out which could be affecting you. I'd advise giving Virgin mobile customer services a call on 789 from your Virgin mobile or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone.
They should be able to provide you with an answer and hopefully things will be working fine again shortly.
