My daughters account has been charged for picture messages on 0010020250100 but have no records of messages being sent looks like a possible rip off any one else had this as Virgin are not being helpful?
When that routing number appears it means one of your SMS messages has gone as an email. There could be a number of reasons for this
Nope - the reason you gave is pretty much the only reason.
Your daughter needs to consolidate all her contacts, so where she has three separate contacts for a landline, mobile and email for her friend Betty, she needs to copy the contact info from two of them into the remaining contact, and then delete the first two. The phone will then use the correct destination when your daugter chooses to send a text to Betty.
Of course, this won't work if the only contact for Betty held in the phone is her email address.
The so-called picture messages to the 0010020250100 number show she's been trying to send a text to a contact entry that only has an email address against it.
Alternatively, she should use WhatsApp.
[Edit] There are other reasons why a simple text would show as an unexpected picture message, such as going to a large circulation list and/or being too large and/or containing binary data such as images - but none of these would show the 0010020250100 number on the bill, it would just show the recipient's actual number.
