Parental control

How do I turn it off , spoke to a Virgin mobile advisor and was told it was now off , unfortunately for me it isn't , can I do it from my fone , or will it have to be on a laptop/ computer

then click the tab Plan and Device

 

then got to the bottom and click the link Manage my services

Just tried it from my mobile - it wouldn't let me log in for some reason.

Hi Cheggs69,

 

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear your parental controls settings are still on.

 

Follow Gorf's link and steps and you should find parental controls. Turn it off. A green message will appear. You'll need to wait 2-24 hours for this to be successful. I've just tried to login in from my phone and it worked fine.

I might need to open a new thread for this, but I just tried logging on from my mobile. The first time, it just returned to the username/password screen and the second time I got this:

 

Even after getting this message on the mobile, I can log in without problems (except it's slooowww) on the PC.

I had that as there was an issue signing in to VM sites that was to be fixed by the 10th but its fixed now (I got a msg).

 

I can now sing in from my mobile (desktop always worked) but parental controls are blocking pr0n on Data (not Wifi).

 

This was never the case till last week and I have never enabled them and have tried all sorts to fix it.

Hi Lozzah94,

 

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting.

 

Sorry to hear you're experiencing problems turning parental controls off. I'd like to help you get this sorted.

 

There are two ways you can turn parental controls off. Firstly could you log into your mobile account online here please.

 

Click on plan and device > Click the tab manage services.

 
Make sure parental controls are set to off here. If it isn't move the slider to off and click update. This will present you with a green success message. It may take up to 24hrs for this to go live on your account.
 
If this doesn't work out for you please give our mobile team a call on 789 or alternatively 0345 6000 789 so we can get this sorted for you.
