PAya s you Go Germany Travel rates

I am on th Simply 8 tariff and was wondering is anyone knows the roaming rates and plans available for voice, text and data for Germany under this tariff.

I can see the call and text rates on the roaming pages of the site but no refernceas to any dat plans that are available.

Also how would I add a data plan to the Simply 8 tariff if roaming in Germany?

Re: PAya s you Go Germany Travel rates

Hi acelink,

Making a Call 4p (per minute)
Receiving a Call 0p (per minute)
Sending an SMS 1p
Sending an MMS 40p

A 30 second minimum call charge applies to all calls.

For mobile data abroad you will need to purchase an EU Travel Pass:

10MB Travel Pass = £0.35
50MB Travel Pass = £1.50
250MB Travel Pass = £5.00

Information on this can be found HERE

Re: PAya s you Go Germany Travel rates

I heard you need to have a minimum of £50 credit in your pay as you go account before you can use your pay as you go phone in Germany. Does anyone know if that is true?

Re: PAya s you Go Germany Travel rates

Hi acelink,

No, I think you may be getting confused with new pay monthly customers.

If a pay monthly customer has been with Virgin Mobile for less than 3 months, roaming is not enabled.
They may be asked to pay a £50 deposit to make it so.

It is prudent though to make sure that you are topped up before you go.

Help and advice is given in the link I provided in my first answer.
