I was under the impression that by ringing 118180 on my PAYG mobile, (Daily Bonus Plan), directory enquiries were free as long as you used it less than 10 times a day.
I've just looked at my usage and noticed that I was charged a premium rate call of £1.90 on September 22nd., the only call I made that day was to 118180 to get a number while on holiday on Bute.
To say I'm spitting nails is an understatement, the call lasted 1 minute 1 second due to the inept person at the other end asking several times who I wanted despite me clearly giving the name and place, I was than set a text with the number although I had written it down.
Is this another way to increase Virgin profit?
I would be interested to hear what a moderator has to say about this.
