Ordering replacement SIM

Hi,

I need to order a replacement SIM card for one of my accounts. I need to change to a micro SIM card. How do I go about getting a replacement sent out please?

Thanks,

James.

Re: Ordering replacement SIM

Ring 789 from your Virgin Phone, 150 from a Virgin landline or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone

Re: Ordering replacement SIM

To give credit to Virgin ('cos I whinge about them a fair bit) I rang 789 yesterday, pressed the options to get through to a human and they sent me a new micro/nano sim card there and then. Even waived the £2.99 24-hour delivery fee cos I'd been with them for years.

Re: Ordering replacement SIM

Once you get your new micro sim do you know how to transfer your old number to the new sim?

Re: Ordering replacement SIM

Your existing mobile phone number would be transferred automatically by Virgin Media to any new SIM they send out.

Only if you use SIM contacts (which most Smartphones shouldn't do by default these days) would you need to do something specific for phone numbers after getting a new SIM.

Re: Ordering replacement SIM

Hi busheypark,

if you request a replacement SIM size. The new SIM once activated will use your original number and same tariff.

You are just responsible for transferring any saved content such as contacts.

Re: Ordering replacement SIM

Thanks for your replies.  My problem was I ordered a prepaid sim and not a replacement sim and you can't transfer your old number to a prepaid sim card.

Re: Ordering replacement SIM

Wow, that was easy - for once, can I send you a list of everything I use online and I'll just ask for you in future. Seriously, thank you very much.
