Placed an order yesterday for a contract phone, have just received email to say....It was great to chat with you today. As we discussed, we can't complete your order just yet. So, we've parked it for the moment until we've sorted things out.... Can anyone help me on answering a simple question like how long will that take?

It's quite possible your order has been passed on to the credit team for review. This can sometimes take 7 days to come back with a decision. Without checking your details I can't say for certain of course.
