Old Samsung mobile locked to Orange

I have an old Samsung mobile locked to Orange (PAYG). My wife loves it and it's still going strong.

Does anyone know if a Virgin media sim will work as Orange is now EE and Virgin use EE

Re: Old Samsung mobile locked to Orange

Should do, (he says hopefully Smiley Surprised

Son is currently using my old Blackberry 9810 (which was locked to T-Mobile) with a VM pay monthly SIM, and seems to be working OK. (still brings up the T-Mobile logo when first turned on, but then switches to his wallpaper, and carrier states Virgin when on)

Worth a try,

Re: Old Samsung mobile locked to Orange

Hi CavalierII,

Welcome to the forumSmiley Happy and thanks for posting.

I can see HughJarsse has been helping you out which is great.

If the SIM doesn't work with the handset you could always call Orange to get the phone unlocked although this would probably be for a charge.

Hope this helps.

Let us know how it goes.
