I have an old Samsung PAYG GT-C3630 which I got for free when Virgin Mobile used to give out rewards. It has a PAYG Virgin SIM in it and I kept it as an emergency phone in the boot of the car. I haven't turned it on for sometime now - Today I have charged it and turned it on for the first time in over a year, but it seems it cant register on the network as I cannot even dial out to 789, without it saying emergency calls only.
Do I need to get a new SIM if I wanted to start using this phone again? Or will the one which is currently inserted eventually register? Or can I get this one registered again?
Thanks for your post - sorry to hear about your SIM card.
Our Pay As You Go SIM cards will deactivate if they are not used for a long period of time, so we recommend that you make a chargeable call or text on the device at least every couple of months to keep everything active.
Don't worry though, we'll get you a new SIM sent out free of charge (although this SIM may have a new number), just give the team a call on 0345 600 0789 and we'll be happy to help
Let us know how you get on with it.
