Not registered on network...

Brand new Samsung S7 Edge is getting 'not registered on network'. 

Activated Sim on network about an hour ago, restarted the phone numerous times without success.

Any ideas? Called VM from house phone and was just told to call back later due to an issue.

Big problem at the moment is that I'm en route to a work meeting on a 'call when you get there basis', which is now rather difficult.

Old VM handset now no longer works as the sim isn't registered any more...

Bit of a disaster, really.

So another day of zero mobile service and being lied to repeatedly. Between 2 x mobiles, tivo, internet etc I'm close to £200 on Virgin per month. This service is an absolute disgrace.

Fantastic. 

Either get one of my two phones registered to your service or explain to me what the issue is. Stop blanking / lying to your customers.

I'm really sorry to hear that you've had some issues with registering the phone on the network. We want to get this all sorted for you.

 

A sim can take up to 24 hours to be activated on our side. How's this looking for you currently?

Well it took 72 hours to register. Finally managed it on Saturday.

Doesn't really make up for the total mess on Thursday and Friday, nor does it make up for having to purchase a PAYG phone as VM shut down all communication on the issue on both days leaving users in limbo.

Still, my colleagues had a good laugh at the new flagship phone that my carrier supplied that was totally useless.
