Not able to send text to partner phone

I am not able to text my partner. It just won't send. I have contacted Virgin on three occasions today and spoke to three different people who weren't at all interested in helping me.  My partner is working away and need to be able to keep contact with him as we have a small baby. I have seen that other people have had the same problem. Could you please give me help on how to resolve this problem?

Hi Net_1987,

 

since you've already spoken to three Virgin customer service agents, I doubt I could add anything else but...

Are you sure that it is your phone unable to send rather than his unable to receive?
He might have accidentally blocked you (easily done on some phones).

Are you able to text anyone else? (Try texting yourself).

 

Is your message centre number correct: +447958879890

 

Not an answer to your problem I know - but might you be able to use something like WhatsApp to keep in touch?
