Non supply of valid VAT invoice

I purchased a mobile phone and paid in full using my company debit card.

At the time of purchase I asked if the vat invoice would be sent to me, I was told

that a invoice would be sent with the phone.

No invoice was sent.

I phoned to complain and was told a invoice would be sent.

What I recieved was a simple letter as proof of purchase (for insurance purpose!), it is not

a invoice, there was no card receipt, not vat number, nothing......

The letter is useless in terms of accounting purpose, particularly with respect to re-claiming

the vat, as my company is vat registerded.

Who exactly can deal with this matter as I really don't want to waste any more time speaking to

people who have no clue ?

However whether this covers your initial payment I'm not sure.

Hello Gorf,

 

No, but at the time I paid I was very clear that I needed a vat invoice and that I was using

my business debit card to pay, the operator confirmed I would receive a invoice with the handset.

 

I've just spoken to them again, they have given me an email to write to, saying that they will provide

a vat invoice. Email is written and sent.

 

I'm not holding my breath.........

Actually the reply I got from your support department was of no help.

 

"Sir,

please find attached details from your purchase as explained to your wife we are unable to provide a VAT receipt as we do not sell to business our services are for personal use only I can confirm the following details for you below I hope this helps. "
