Non image charges

Really annoyed at my recent charges for sending UNLIMITED TEXT.?

£24 charges for images sent.

When no  images have in fact been sent.?

Help desk said I hade over run on the size of my TEXT  messages.?

1-Why advertise as UNLIMITED TEXT WHEN IN FACT THERE NOTHING TO MAKE IT CLEAR

THAT TEXT MESSAGES ARE GOVERNED BY THEIR SIZE.

Re: Non image charges

This is not anything to do with the VM network and infact is your phone.
Alot of phones sent messages as MMS (Picture messages) if they go over the 160 letter limit.

As your phone tell sends the message as a picture message its no longer a txt message so is charged.

Depending on the phone you have it might be possible to turn this off so large messages do not send over mms.

Or 70 characters, if your handset converts to MMS when you exceed a single SMS and you also have the unicode alphabet enabled.

It will also convert if you send the message to too many recipients, or if the message contains an attachment, even if it's a text attachment like a phone contact.
