No password for MMS message retrieval from website

My wife has just received a message saying there is a photo/message for her and to go to https://virgin.mms.ee.co.uk/virgin/

She is temporarily using a basic phone that cannot receive MMS so she has to go to this website to view.

BUT it says to enter the password sent with the SMS message

There is not one

Update - just contacted the person it said it came from - that person had not sent anything.

So- Is this a genuine URL to retrieve pictures?

Was it a genuine message?

If so:-

Why are messages being sent without a password

Why are messages being sent when there is no picture to view

If it is not a message being sent in error - is it a scam?

So many questions

Re: No password for MMS message retrieval from website

Hi Aderussell,

Thanks for yout post Smiley Happy

I'll be happy to clear this up for you!

The site is indeed genuine and functions when MMS isn't enabled on the phone that you're using.

I'm not too sure why you've got this message when nothing was sent. If there's no message to view, we wont need to try and log in this time around.

Keep an eye on it for me and let me know if you need anything.

Thanks,

Mat
