No internet access abroad

I am in Croatia and I can phone and text ok, but have no internet access. I have checked my account and roaming is on, and international call barring is off. I have been into my phone settings ( Experia z3)and the data roaming is on, with EU roaming ticked and it's set for National and international. I believe all the settings are correct, just can't connect! Hope someone can help

Hi Trishwhite292,

 

on Virgin's side of things, there is a separate switch for data roaming which sounds like it may not be active on your account.

Even if it is, sometimes the system needs refreshing to update the EE server.

Try giving customer services a call : +447953 967 967

Hi Trishwhite292,

As @AlexKid correctly advised, sometimes the switch doesn't complete on the network even though it shows on your account. 

Thank you for sending your details via PM. I have reset this on your account. It can take up to 24 hours for this to update on the network. Just reboot your handset and retry.

Thanks Alexkidd and Terri, I have tried rebooting a few times now, but no luck Smiley Sad Anything else you think I could try?

Hi Trishwhite292,

This has been checked and I can verify that all roaming settings on the network are active for you.

On your handset, please make sure that your data roaming services are on and that there aren't other profiles that could be causing an issue. Also make sure that your APN settings are correct.

 

To Check Data Roaming is On/Off:

  • 1.Touch Applications.

  • 2.Touch Settings.

  • 3.Touch More….

  • 4.Touch Mobile networks.

  • 5.Touch Data roaming.

  • 6.Touch Yes.

  • 7.Data roaming is now enabled.

  • 8.To disabled, touch Data roaming.

  • 9.Data roaming is now disabled.

APN Settings:

  • 1.Touch Applications.

  • 2.Touch Settings.

  • 3.Touch More….

  • 4.Touch Mobile networks.

  • 5.Touch Access Point Names.

  • 6.Touch the + icon.

  • 7.Enter the following settings:
    • Name — Virgin Media Int
    • APN — goto.virginmobile.uk
    • Proxy — Not set
    • Port — Not set
    • Username — user
    • Password — Not set
    • Server — Not set
    • MMSC — Not set
  • 8.
    • MMS proxy — Not set
    • MMS port — Not set
    • MCC — 234
    • MNC — 30
    • Authentication type — PAP
    • APN type — default,supl
    • APN protocol — IPv4
    • APN roaming protocol — IPV4
  • 9.
    • APN enable/disable — APN enabled
    • Bearer — Unspecified
    • MVNO type — None
    • MVNO value — Not set
  • 10.Once entered, touch the Menu icon.

  • 11.Touch Save.

  • 12.New profile will now be activated.
