No Service Virgin Sim/iPhone

Usual problem - sorry ...

I have an iPhone which my friend now has. He's on Virgin, I was on O2. He's got a new nano sim. Its in and "No Service" is showing.

I have checked the phone IMEI number and this is what I get:

IMEI Number: 3520180622**** Part Description: iPhone 5s Product Version: 10.0.2 Initial Activation Policy ID: Initial Activation Policy Details: UK Vodafone. Applied Activation PolicyID: 270 Applied Activation Details: Unlock. Next Tether Policy ID: 10 Next Tether Policy Details: Unlock. First Unbrick Date: 11/03/14 Unlock Date: 26/12/15 Unbricked: false Unlocked: true

That tells me it WAS on Vodaphone but is now unlocked! Or have I got it wrong ...

I'd appreciate someone's expert opinion please?

Sorry - it was happy on O2 for 1 year - it must be unlocked!

Has your friend changed SIMS as the new one may not be enabled. Normally this is done by  READY to 789678 from the old SIM

They could also log into their account via virginmobile.co.uk/activate.

Failing that a call to Customer Services 0345 6000 789 from a none Virgin phone. or just 789 from Virgin

Many thanks Sir! I press 'Activate' and nothing happens on screen ...

Friend is on Virgin; we ordered a replacement nano sim ...

You were absolutely right - a call to Virgin sorted my problem out.
