No 3G or 4G York - Is this a national service outage??

No 3 or 4g since this morning. This appears to a be a national issue:

http://downdetector.co.uk/problems/virgin-media

Virgin Media/Mobile is communications company - why don't Virgin have any will/capacity to COMMUNICATE and send status texts tor emails to customers or even report via Twitter - or would that be admitting there is a service wide technical problem? Is there a service status page for 3g as I can't find one?

And yes I have rebooted my phone numerous times...still not working

Please advise.

EE have been having 3G issues today and since Virgin Media Mobile runs on EE's Network it will no doubt affect Virgin Mobile phones in the areas EE are reporting issues.

Yes in fact it looks like EE data right across the board 2-4g is not funtctioning at all. EE seem to have failed over a large area

I also have a beef with Virgin as their lack of proactive information for mobile customers is staggering. Its the achilles heel of creating all these virtual network operators as they don't know whats going on and have no control over technical failures...

Agree with you about no information from Virgin, usually there is a sticky post about problems in the forum here - but nothing  posted about today's problems ?
