New mobile - having issues with getting service in new phone

Hi there,

I just got my upgrade from a Samsung 4 mini to a Samsung 7 edge. I've copied all the information over to the new phone but it says it still has no service. My new monthly payment starts on the 15/04/2017 - do I need to wait until then to use my new phone?

I think I'm missing something! Can anyone advise what I need to do?

I've put the new sim I received into my new phone but my old phone is still working perfectly. I'm lost.

Thanks.

Hi VMcD1976,

you need to send the text READY to 789678 from your old phone / SIM to activate your new one.

You should receive a text back saying the request has been successful and shortly after your Samsung 4 Mini SIM will deactivate and your new S7 edge SIM will become active.

Re: New mobile - having issues with getting service in new phone

hi Alexkid

Many thanks for your assistance.

I've obviously not read the instructions properly.

Will get it sorted later.
