try entering your postcode into the EE service checker
This should show any known faults in your area that might account for your lack of signal.

I am sorry to hear you had issues with our service at that time. I have run some checks on the Mobile Coverage checker for you today and it's showing as very good for both 3G and 2G.
If you are still experiencing issues with the network, then this might be a SIM related issue.
