Network Locked

I received a new monthly contract S6 yesterday,which is locked to Virgin,the main reason for buying from Virgin was the handset would be unlocked and I would be able to use a different sim if I wished.

 I contacted Virgin and was told that a number of Samsung mobiles had been dispatched locked , Samsung are aware of it and are working on rectifying it.

 They could not give me a date for the issue to be resolved and it did not sound like it would be anytime soon.

 I would have thought that once Virgin/Samsung had the IMEI number a code could be generated.

Has anyone else had this problem?Or am I being strung along to accept a locked handset?

Sorry to hear your Samsung S6 is not unlocked as it should be.

Has your issue been resolved? How did it get resolved if it has? I finally received my S6 this morning only to find that, it too, is network locked.

Sorry to hear you've got the same issue with your Samsung S6 being locked.

 

I've just checked today for you and ruuddd and the fault is currently still open and being worked on. 

 

A soon as I know any different I will let you know.
