NO TXTS FOR MINUTES /DATA LIMITS ONLY CREDIT LIMITS!

MISLEADING INFO WHEN TAKING OUT CONTRACT ONLINE!!

 HELLO WEBTEAM,
 
 
THIS COMPLAINT STILL REMAINS UNRESOLVED!
 
WEBSITE STATEMENT - "Text alerts when you're near your limits" - SEE FULL WEBSITE  TEXT BELOW
 
WERE NEVER SENT TO EITHER OF THE TWO (2) NUMBERS ON THIS ACCOUNT
 
AND DOES  NOT REFER TO CREDIT LIMIT!!
 
AFTER A CALL FROM VM (15-06-2016 13:33) TO ME MY DAUGHTER THEN RECEIVED A TXT -
 
 You've nearly reached your credit limit.  To avoid losing your service, make a payment by calling 789 from your mobile in the UK or ......................

AS CAN BE SEEN THE MAJORITY OF THESE CHARGES WERE FOR VIRGIN TO VIRGIN CALLS!

MY SON AND DAUGHTER DID NOT RECEIVE TEXT ALERTS FOR ANY APPROACH TO MINUTES/DATA LIMITS.

ONLY AFTER MY COMPLAINT DID THEY RECEIVE TEXT ALERTS ON CREDIT LIMIT - WHICH IS NOTMIN/DATA!!!

I SHOWED ON MY 1ST MSG EXTRACTS FROM THE VM SITE REGARDING STATEMENTS ON CAPPING AND ALERTS.

Hi

I had exactly the same problem: my husband did not get a text, when he was about to use his free minutes, and now we've been hit with a big bill. We were supposed to get text alerts, so we know when we're getting closer. I feel like Virgin cheated on us - promised a service, to keep us on track, updated, and then not providing it. And why are Virgin to Virgin calls so expensive anyway?

Hi Ouzaru,

 

on Virgin's Pay Monthly SIM's out of tariff calls are charged at 45p per minute to any UK mobile provider (including Virgin) or landline.

If you are also a Virgin Media customer however (TV, phone or broadband) then you can get free unlimited calls to other Virgin Mobiles.

Hi Alex,

This still doesn't explain why he didn't get a text. Last month he got it, saying he used 95% of his minutes, but this month there was nothing. I truly don't understand it.

Any help here? I wish to know why Virgin didn't send a text when my husband was about to use his free minutes, while a month ago he got such a message.
