More Roaming, think you're getting th message yet?

Hi Away n the Maldives and cant get signal. your guide says to use: Wataniya  or

Dhiraagu

The first is not an available network, the second when selected says: "request not accepted by Sim card"

Tried getting in touch via twitter and facebook as no email support address given and your suggestion to fix this is to call you.  How can I when I have no hone signal.  Sat here in paradise on a once in a lifetime holiday.  Am i getting a tan and relaxing, no I'm trying to get my poxy Virgin Sim to work.

/me sits and waits

Re: More Roaming, think you're getting th message yet?

Hi stan0147,

Welcome to the communitySmiley Happy

Sorry to hear roaming is not working for you at the moment.

As long as the roaming is active on Your Account there's a few things you can try with your handset.

Turn your phone off and then back on again.

Go into your phone settings and select a network manually.

Try removing your phone’s battery, while it’s still switched on – this helps reboot it and find a local network.

Let me know how this goes.

Many thanks

Re: More Roaming, think you're getting th message yet?

How many people have to deliver the same message about roaming (aka 'being able to make a phonecall') before Virgin will actually do anything about this beyond saying try turning your phone off and on again????
