More Data Same Price

How come that VM are now offering the £15 tariff now with 5GB Data. But virgin don't up grade anyone already on the £15. In fact you go on to your account and you click on "Change Tariff". It doesn't even show that tariff. 

The data allowance on all tariffs have been increased

  • £5 from 250mb to 500mb
  • £8 from 500mb to 1Gb
  • £10 from 1Gb to 2Gb
  • £15 from 4Gb to 5Gb
  • £23 from 8Gb to 10Gb

The £12 has increased it price to £13 with 2Gb to 3Gb

It's Virgins normal attitude.  Don't tell the customers

you need to call customer services on 789 from your Virgin mobile and request the new tariff allowance.

The online account software still has a few bugs, and one of the bugs is that unless you are on one of the new tarrifs - it does not show the new tarrifs as upgrades.

I'm on the older freestyles tariffs, I've just called to change my tariff only to be told I can't go on the new tariffs, I can only change to another one of the old freestyle tariffs? 

So I miss out on the new increased data allowences!

Any one had any success in getting their tariff changed to the new amounts. I've got 2 Sims on 250mb of data and would like to know if I can get the 500mb now on offer.

It's a case of calling customer services (free) on 789 and asking.

For 05surveyor it was simple.

I have read other posts where it does not seem to have been so easy.

However I believe you should be able to get the new increased amount of data within tariff.

If necessary, politely end the call and phone again to speak to someone else.

I know from my own experience that some advisors are more willing or able to do things.
