Mobile sim not activating

I received a nano sim today and I sent the text "ready" from my old sim to activate my new sim... Or at least I thought it would. My old sim has now deactivated and my new sim is coming up not registered on network when I try to make a call. After several reboots and removing and reinserting sim I am still no closer to have an activated sim and I am now left with no phone at all. When I called for support they tried to guide me through the menu and I do not have the settings menu for mobile data, which I assume is related to this problem. I don't trust that it's going to come on although it does say it can take up to 24 hours because support didn't have a clue what was going on. Any advice or if anyone has had the same problem I would be interested to know how long your activation took, or if you had to do something else to fix the problem.

Sorry to hear you had some trouble with the sim activating. A sim can take up to 24 hours to activate on our network. Are you still having issues with this?

Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me. I have been away for the weekend and they were sending me a new sim which should have arrived Saturday. I will try it when I get home later on today and let you know how I get on.
