Mobile number different from that on SIM card.

Following transfer to Virgin of my old mobile number my BlackBerry 8520 works on my old number but displays the number of my Virgin SIM card in the screen. How can this be corrected?  Could this mismatch be the reason why I cannot seem to set it up to receive my Virgin E-Mails?

I'm really sorry for any confusion caused on our part. This will more than likely require a factory reset to be corrected. You can back up all the blackberry software by using Blackberry desktop here
 

A factory reset can then be performed by going into Options > Security > Security Wipe.

 

Let me know how you get on with this. With regards to the email fault, give us a call on 789 or 0345 6000 789 and we'll be sure to get this looked into for you.

Damn, will I need to do same to my Moto X Gen2 when my old numbers comes across on Monday (had the phone and sim 1 week with temp number).
