Mobile dongle connects/disconnects immediately....again

Went back to work today, not used mobile broadband for 2 weeks & it no longer works.

Nothing has changed - it just connects then disconnects - tried at home as well & still not working.

Usually happens just out of contract

Please help

Thanks very much for posting. I'm sorry to hear your mobile dongle is connecting and disconnecting again.

 

Reading your previous posts I believe you have the Alcatel OneTouch x230. The first thing I would suggest is to uninstall and reinstall the software. Has this made a difference?

 

This may sound like a silly question but are you still paying for it? Just making sure it's still active of course.

 

Hope this helps. Let me know how you get on with that.

Hi

I re-installed the software several times & today it is finally working.

Erm, yes I pay £12.26 every month, bill received yesterday!

This problem does happen a lot though.

Many thanks for keeping me updated. I'm really pleased to hear it is back working for you.

 

I'm afraid I don't have many explanations of why it keeps happening. There could be a problem with the dongle or SIM card. There could also be a signal issue but I don't have access to your account so I can't say for certain.

 

If it continues to happen I'd recommend calling technical support on 789 from a Virgin Mobile or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone. They'll be able to check on this further.

Mobile dongle not working

Looking back at my previous posts this happens regularly. No one ever sorts it out though.

Plug in dongle & when I press connect it immediately disconnects, done this every day for the last 10 days. Every day I have uninstalled & re-installed, nothing. Happens at work & at home. & yes I still pay the bill.

Why does this happen around this time every year?

Check my data I've used nothing for over a week,

please help

Thanks for your post although I am sorry to hear about this reoccurring issue with your Mobile Dongle.

I hope that this has been resolved since your post, however if this is still on going it would be best to give our technical team a call on 789 from a Virgin Mobile or 0345 6000 789 from any other available phone, so that we can look into this further.
