Mobile can to use data abroad

My wife's mobile can not use data abroad.

On my account which manages her mobile it says roaming enabled.
I called 789 when in the uk and confirmed it was also enabled. We are now in another country again without her being able to use data.

We have bought a data plan on her sim, activated all roaming settings. Downloaded/installed reset all options but still no data. There is a network connections and texts can be sent but not calls or data.

My phone /Sim works correctly.

Please advise of a solution before we leave on Friday am.

Hi grommachine,

 

since you say that  you are also unable to make calls:

Log in to your account > click on  the "Plan and device" tab.

Go to "Manage my services" and check that "International call barring" is set to OFF

If this was your problem and you have to change the setting. Allow time for your account to update then reboot your phone by turning it off & on again.

 

Depending on your wife's phone you might have to enable mobile data roaming on the handset.
(I know I do - on my phone it's: Settings > SIM management > General settings > Roaming > Data roaming )

Thanks Alex kid.

It appears that it international call are bared on the Sim.

However we can not recall changing the pin number and can't find the original number. I have tried the usual.


How would I go about finding our or reseting this code.

The phone is a sam galaxy a5
