Mobile Rescue

Can someone at Virgin or anywhere please tell me how to uninstall this app? 789 have no idea and were meant to be calling me back, but haven't.

It's an S4 mini, took out on contract 2 years ago, the contract is up, I wont be renewing it primarily because of a lack of 4G and the lies I've been told over 4 years since becoming a Virgin Mobile customer, that yes, this year were getting 4G etc etc etc.....

It's greyed out in my application manager, it's not even listed on my google play account on the phone or a laptop. I can't insert another sim because it locks the phone once I remove the Virgin Sim.

Factory resetting does not remove it, I've done that umpteen times for various reasons previously.

Thank you

Re: Mobile Rescue

Did you move the app to an SD card? apps on the SD card are in a folder called android secure, try restoring it from there to it's original location and then uninstall it or try taking out the SD card

Re: Mobile Rescue

Just wondering if it is one of those apps that are added to the firmware in a way they can't be removed.

Re: Mobile Rescue

Thank you for your suggestions.

danny - tried all you suggest, no joy.

enlli - I have a sneaky suspicion you are correct and the phone may need flashing

AlexKid - I tried that a while back and they just referred me back to Virgin

I think I'm going to have to take it to a Virgin store and have it flashed. 789 have been as helpful as they can be, but still no solution, they are going to call me back at some point.
