LG D405n and Microsoft Outlook

Just changed from Blackberry to LG and having a small issue with email - hoping someone can help!

How can I receive emails on both my laptop and phone? I had no problem with the Blackberry - all emails came in on both devices and remained on both until I deleted them individually - which is handy for the way I work!

I can receive emails sent to my ntlworld.com address on the LG but they don't come into Outlook on the laptop. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance!

Lonely.

If the problems with pop3 and you don't have the option to use imap..

This might help

https://support.google.com/mail/answer/47948?hl=en

You'll get the last 30 days of PoP3 delivered mail on other devices.

IMAP is a better option but up until the pop3 mail client was rolled up into the Gmail client on android, I was using it for a legacy account with no issues.

I'm really sorry that you're having some trouble viewing emails on both devices. Can you let me know what server settings you use on the both?

Let me know as soon as you can and I'll be able to pass on some tips Smiley Happy

Re: LG D405n and Microsoft Outlook

Sorry for the delay in replying Matt but I think I know the problem now after a bit of Googling - apparently its to do with the Pop 3 protocol acting like a mail box - once I've opened an email on one device then its gone from any other device. Not sure exactly why but I didn't have this on the Blackberry using all the same settings.

2 solutions - one use a web based email client or two just keep looking at 2 devices and don't delete anything until the work is done!

What do you think?

Thanks.

Re: LG D405n and Microsoft Outlook

Thanks Kippies but I'm not that knowledgeable on this subject - would the same work with an ntlworld email address?

Re: LG D405n and Microsoft Outlook

Yes.

The account I was using it on was my old ntlworld one.
