Is my phone lying about LTE?

I was about to question why lately the top of my display is showing a 3G connection instead of the usual LTE on my LG phone (USA Pay as You Go), but I've seen on here people are saying there us no VM LTE service! Funny thing is that updating my PRL or restarting my phone returns the LTE connection indicator. Is my phone lying to me?

Re: Is my phone lying about LTE?

LTE or 4G  has only just been released on Virgin and you must have a 4G SIM and airtime plan for it to be supported.

However, you say it is a USA phone and that may be confusing the issue.

Yes, the phone & the plan are USA. That's where I am.

Re: Is my phone lying about LTE?

Oh, oops!

I just perused the first Google result where VM 3G/LTE was being discussed that wasn't virginusa, which was down yesterday.

Thank you!
