Internet usage on bill whilst without a phone

I've already posted this question on the forum but it has mysteriously disappeared?

Any way, my question is, why does my bill show Internet usage for the days I was without a useable phone? The one Virgin refuses to repair stating 'liquid damage'.

Did you keep the SIM at home or send it in with the broken handset?

Kept the SIM, SD card, battery and back cover as required by Virgin.

And I assume the SIM hasn't been put in another handset?

No worries, but no. It was removed, not used and awaiting returned repaired phone. Phone was returned, but not repaired.

Hi Solitaire1,

 

Sorry to hear you've seen data used even though your phone was in for repair.

 

This is not something I've seen before.

 

Best advice I could give here would be to call 789 or 0345 6000 789 so we can take a look at this for you.
