Incomplete Porting - who do I contact?

Hi,

Had my old Orange number ported to my new Virgin Mobile account.

Outgoing calls - seems to work, recipient sees my old Orange number  and we connect (that's good!)

Incoming calls - goes straight to my old Orange voicemail (that's bad!)

SMS - can't send or receive (also bad!)

Please could someone tell me who to contact regarding this?

I'm really sorry that you're having some issues with incoming calls. It sounds like a routing issue on our side.

 

Please give us a call on 789 or 0345 6000 789 and our technical support team will be able to liaise with our network partners to get this fixed.

The porting process doesn't happen instantaneously, rather it happens in stages over several hours. This tends to catch people out, since it's counter-intuitive ( if calls work, why not texts, for instance).
I have ported my number about 6 times over the 13 years that I've had it, and it worries me every time.
My guess is that your problem resolved itself shortly after your post, and I'm posting this mostly in case someone else reads this thread...

Thanks for this info re delay. My confidence in Virgin is low at the moment so when I get to this stage this will reassure me.
