I need a code for my new phone to do provisioning updates

I have a new phone which needs a code to do provisioning updates, I rang 789 but there were no help. How do I get the code please

By provisioning updates I assume you mean apn's to allow virgin mobile internet and MMS?

So

Here are the APN settings to your phone, which will get your picture messages and mobile internet working.

Name — Virgin Media Mobile Internet
APN — goto.virginmobile.uk
Proxy — Not Set
Port — Not Set
Username — user
Password — Not Set
Server — Not Set

MMSC — http://mms.virginmobile.co.uk:8002
MMS proxy — 193.030.166.002
MMS port — 8080
MCC — 234
MNC — 30
Authentication type — PAP
APN type — internet + mms
Press the Menu key.
Touch Save

Use the user manual to understand how to get to the correct setting options

OK these are the settings I already have. I keep getting a notification that I have provision updates and I need a code from my service provider to install them. Can you send me the code

No I don't work for them......

Switch the phone off and back on if it does not resolve it, as long as everything's working you ok, check in settings for a phone software update

This may be teaching grandmother .... but two things

Removing the battery and replacing it after a short wait of say 20 seconds forces the phone to ask Virgin for any over the air updates.

Also you could try logging into your My Account web page on a computer. 

Log on to My Account on the Virgin Media web page and click on the Plan and Devices tab and then select the link 'Set up picture messaging and more....' follow the phone details etc Virgin will send the settings over the air to your phone

I had the same problem, I rang 789 too but got a better response, the advisor seemed a little sketchy on 'Provisioning Updates' but when we spoke of configuration settings we made progress.. I was told the pin would be the last 4 digits of my phone number... but that didn't work, so the person resent the setting to my phone with the pin set to the last 4 digits of my number... IT WORKED.

Only problem is there were 3 settings in the original notification.. they only sent me me 1 for MMS so my have to ring again... Smiley Sad

I dont know what the other 2 setting were for or would do...

Hope this helps someone

(The other two would be Virgin Media Mobile Internet & Email).
