How to opt out of junk mail

I have absolutely no interest in using Virgin Mobile but they keep sending highly personalised 'offers' by post. Because of the personalisation I have to shred these.

Where on this website can I opt out?

Nowhere to be able to contact support at either, except by phoning Bangalore.

How did you find that as a matter of interest?

Re: How to opt out of junk mail

Guess what? Having opted-out three weeks ago, today I got another completely pointless junk mailing with overpriced mobile phones! Straight in the bin.

And more junk today! Which part of 'opt-out' don't you understand VirginMedia? Will be sending it back to you unopened.

Re: How to opt out of junk mail

Oh the irony. I write to complain and what do they do? Award me a badge! " Just a quick note to say here's a new badge for all that you do in the Virgin Media Community. We've given you the Hello again badge." Stop patronising me and stop spamming me!

Re: How to opt out of junk mail

Can't you charge them for it? If I recall correctly, with email spam, there's something like a £10,000 penalty per email after you've opted out. It might be worth checking to see if there's a similar route for snail mail...

Re: How to opt out of junk mail

This is dead trees, in the post. The opt-out system confirms I have opted out, but still they come.
