Hi, I didnt activate roaming before leaving the UK and now I cannot call or text. How can I activate roaming from abroad?
log into your Virgin Mobile account then click on the "Plan and device" tab and go to "Manage my services".
Here you can set "Roaming" to ON and check that "International call barring" is set to OFF.
Make any change by moving the "switch" in your account.(Click the other side of the rectangle box).
Allow time for your account to update then reboot your phone.(Virgin advise this may take upto 24 hours or longer from abroad).
Periodically turning your phone off/on to see if it finds and selects a network.
You may have to go into the phone's settings and do a manual search for network.
Also check that roaming is enabled on the handset itself

Thank you for your reply. I have never set up my Virgin Mobile account and I dont seem to be able to do it from where I am now
If you can borrow a phone to call Virgin Mobile. Their UK support line number is: +447953 967 967 they will be able to set it up for you.
