How can I put a stop on my daughter using more than her quota of data...this months bill was a shock. Her phone is on my account as I bought and paid for it but I need her to NOT be able to carry on using data once her allowance is used.
Sadly there is no automatic method, or any simple method at all. Virgin will restrict. The bill to around £50 or so but that can depend on your daughter paying attention to the texts and not just deleting them and carrying on. The only way stop her using data is gettingvirgin to stop Mobile data every time you ask, it's all up to you, there is no auto cut off that's a guarantee.
I've just looked on my account and there is no method to do it from there, so it's only a call to 789 once to stop and again to start mobile data.
I'd look onto the google play Store and see if there is anything that you can get from there,
It's great to see a few faces chipping in to help you, it's always nice to see
I would mention that on my phone for instance, I can set alarms and alerts to let me know when I'm getting close to my data limit, i have an S6 but the same goes across most androids. After that, it would be a matter of her letting you know when shes been alerted.
I hope you have been able to get closer to keeping track.
