Each time I turn off mobile data my HTC One Mini 2 stops accepting incomming calls and texts. I have to restart the phone to cure the fault. Callers get the message 'This phone is not available right now, please try again later'. Anyone else have this fault ??
Hi Mat, I am unable to try the SIM in another phone, the problem does happen in any area. I have now noticed it happens when I am on mobile data and then connect to WiFi network so it happens every time mobile data switches off.
I have been switching off mobile data manually, and automatically when connecting to wifi, at regular intervals today whilst the network mode is set to GSM only and I can still receive incomming calls. However if I set the network mode back to GSM / WCDMA Auto or GSM / WCDMA / LTE Auto the problem returns - no incomming calls or texts after switching off mobile data until I restart the phone. Other than using GSM only is there a fix for this ??
Glad to hear we've established where the fault lies. I'm afraid there isn't a fix for this as it's a software issue with some android phones compatibility with networks. It's down to the phones manufacturer to issue a software update for this.
As the phone is nearly 2 years old (from the release date), I'd be unable to guarantee that this will ever be fixed by HTC. Sorry if this isn't the news you wanted to hear.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Hi Mat, Thanks for your help, I guess I should have picked the Samsung at the last upgrade. !!.I have e-mailed HTC Support twice but they do not reply so they are now off the list come the next upgrade.
