Great customer service letter from Virgin Mobile

Just had a lovely letter (not) from Virgin Mobile - apparently my unlimited data Sim only package is no longer economical and I am being reduced to 1GB with a sting in the tail! Once they have reduced my data to 1GB I cannot upgrade to a higher data package! Guess after all these years with Virgin Mobile counts for nothing - GREAT customer service Virgin Mobile NOT!!!!

Hi Billy47,

I feel J0hn was being Sardonic, implying that if you are not happy... Walk away and go to another provider.

If you are out of contract, have you considered moving to one of the newer tariffs?

Contact Virgin customer services on 789, select the "thinking of leaving" option and see if they can hook you up with a more favourable tariff.

Virgin usually slow you down after 3.5GB due to 'fair usage' whatever you are paying for

Hi Billy47,

Thank you for coming in and posting your message, welcome back Smiley Happy

Looks like you've met some of the Community already, thank you. I can see that you've already been able to call in on the 5th and had a chat with us already about this, are you seeing this on additional mobiles?

Take care.

Ben

Re: Great customer service letter from Virgin Mobile

Hi Ben

Thanks for your reply - no it was only the one mobile but I was seriously unimpressed with the letter and if I hadn't threatened to take my sim only elsewhere I would have been downgraded and unable to upgrade - it was explained to me on the phone that it supposedly was down to fair use policy that Virgin had to adhere to - strange that one they are offering 10GB and the person I spoke to said my average use was 7-8GB per month - somehow, excuse me but I don't believe a word of it!

More like it was in the letter - it was uneconomical to keep me on unlimited date - and they wanted to fleece me by downgrading my plan - hence the "great customer service" gripe.
