Got 4G SIM, no 4G service

I've received my upgrade SIM and got it activated OK but I can't get any 4G service. I've tried in a good 4G area but it's only showing H or H+, could this be down to not hitting my renewal date yet and I'm still getting the 3G service until the renewal date? When I spoke to CS, they indicated the 4G service would start from when I activated the new SIM.

4g will start on your refresh date, at the moment your still be on your 3g plan what you paid for a month in advance :-)

This is what I thought but I was told by CS that 4G would be active on the day the SIM was activated and the new minutes and data allowance from the renewal date

CS told you wrong, this is not unusual
