Google Playstore

I've had my Galaxy S3 mini for just coming up 2 years. I've never been able to download apps because I can't get on to Google Playstore.  Error while retrieving information from server [RH-01] is the message that comes up. Have tried a factory reset which didn't help.

I've always thought it to be my problem as I'm not very good with technology but no one else seems to be able to sort it either.  Looks like I've been paying for a problem phone for two years.

Re: Google Playstore

Hi

Try

1.Open the "Google Play" app and press the home button to return
2.Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Applications
3.Select the "ALL" tab, Search for "Google Play Store" and press it to open.
4.Press "Clear cache"
5.Press "Force stop"
6.Return to Settings → Applications → Manage Applications
7.Press "Google Services Framework"
8.Press "Clear Data"
9.Press "Force Stop"
10.Start "Google Play Store" and it should give an error
11.Reboot. Once your device has restarted Google Play Store should work.

Re: Google Playstore

Thank you for your reply.  When I get into application manager I cannot find 'Google Play Store' so cannot proceed with instructions.  Any suggestions?

Re: Google Playstore

Hi PDOFF59,

it should definitely be there. Are you sure you selected "All" Apps?

If I do this on my phone, I see quite a list of Google Apps : Contacts, Keyboard, Books,Games, Music + several more inc' "Google Play Store".

Do you see this list, are you sure that you're not just overlooking the Play Store?

Re: Google Playstore

I don't see anything for ALL APPS but there is a list including Gmail, Google Search, Google Text to speech.  No Playstore however.

Re: Google Playstore

Sorry, have just had to 'Google ' those terms.

I think the answer is NO.  I have not tried to install anything on the phone other than what it came with - I wouldn't know where to start.

Re: Google Playstore

so if you go into settings and applications. Is there an option to scroll down to google play?

I thought "All" was on most Samsung devices
