Hi Just joined Virgin mobile and have tried to port a number across from EE. I can make calls but I can't receive calls and I can't send or receive texts. The transfer should have completed on Monday but it's still not working today. I have reset the network on the phone as advised by tech support but still no joy. Help. Thanks
Welcome to the community and thanks for posting. I deeply apologise for the trouble you've had trying to port your number to us from EE. I appreciate the transition should have been smoother.
It sounds like the port wasn't completely successful. I'm not too sure what might have gone wrong either. I highly doubt a bar has been placed on to your account because you're a new customer.
When was the last time you spoke to technical support? If it's still not working at the time of reading this then I recommend calling them back as soon as you can. You can reach them by calling 789 from a Virgin Mobile or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone.
