Elephone P6000 'NO SIM'

Hi, my virgin media sim is not recognised when inserted into new Elephone P6000 Pro.

ie. ''NO SIM'' message.

Other Sims work OK in it.

I see from Googling, that it is a common issue with Elephones and Virgin Sims.

I also do not see an obvious fix, other than switching service providers, which Im not fussed on doing without a try, as I have been with Virgin media / mobile for 17 - 18 years.....

any suggestions appreciated.

thanks

Re: Elephone P6000 'NO SIM'

I might have to conclude that its an issue with the phone .

I have also read on various forums about this handset and people have also expressed that its difficult for the handset to read the sim

would you be interested in taking a handset from Virgin. If you get the sim and handset from us then we can offer better support regarding the phone side as well if anything went wrong.

Have a look at our SIM only pricing too.

we offer extremely competitive pricing .

If you an existing customer with us and have Virgin Media services like broadband etc.

then our £6 sim only would get
250 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited calls VM to VM mobiles and 1gb of data
for £7
600 mins ,. unlimited texts, unlimited calls VM to VM mobiles and 1gb of data

not sure what Life mobile have provided but interested to find out what Smiley Happy

Unfortunately , I don't work in the tech support area so my knowledge of why it wouldn't accept the Virgin SIM is beyond me. Does seem very strange though

I did look at that sim card. Please tell me if if works in your lovely new phone. I may well follow. Easier than trying to find a solution.

Re: Elephone P6000 'NO SIM'

Yes - I am using the new sim in my old phone (Doogee F1)...

I've done a factory reset on my new Elephone, but no joy.

Virgin helpdesk told me to phone them back tonight as the new sim has not been activated the full 24 hours. (although it has been working fine in my old phone only a couple of hours after activation).

I've exhausted Google.

Thanks.

Re: Elephone P6000 'NO SIM'

appreciate the offer. However I am £95 out of pocket though for a phone i spent a long time searching for. (16GB memory, 3GB Rom, good camera and Dual Sim). Would have hoped Elephone could have come up with something.

Re: Elephone P6000 'NO SIM'

I have never heard of this manufacturer to be honest so I would hope they come up with a solution too.

Cant you return this handset if you have just bought it?

Re: Elephone P6000 'NO SIM'

Lee,

to be 100% honest here, I have looked at other providers such as 'Life Mobile' who can offer me a SIM only for £6 per month which will get me more than I am currently getting for over £10 per month from VM.

I have also ordered some days ago , protective screen & holder for new phone..

Why is this phone rejecting only VM SIM cards....that is the big question for me and your goodselves....?? (and I know you don't have the answer)

Thanks for the responses.

Re: Elephone P6000 'NO SIM'

If you could let us know , that would be fantastic. We can then share this knowledge with our other members,

We do sell a PAYG Kazzam Trooper which is a £34.99 handset which you can purchase if you wish to use the services of virgin.

a very good phone for a very little price
