Downloading apps

I have just obtained a Leagoo smart phone6 and it will not let me download any apps from play store. I keep getting a message saying "error while retrieving information from server. Why and how do I solve this problem

There doesn't seem to be a problem with the Play Store here, which suggests that it's an issue with the handset or user, not Google or Virgin.

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting. Sorry to hear you're having difficulty getting apps from the Play store.

 

I'm not aware of anyone else having trouble. I know my apps are fine so I'd have to concur with Gorf on this. Could you please answer the following questions:-

 

Does the error message occur on 3G and Wi-Fi?

Did the previous owner have trouble downloading apps?

 

In additional to Gorf's advice, you could try a factory reset of the handset to see if this works. You'll have to find the instructions on how to do that because we don't provide the handset so I'm not familiar with its workings.
