I am currently in France and prior to coming I set up online my roaming, called Virgin to add a data package and asked for conformation that this would work as I was using it as a sat Nav to get from the airport to our apartment.
Low and behold it doesn't work. After 5 calls and speaking to so called "technical experts" and repeating myself constantly I am no further forward. The only thing I have is a mounting phone bill.
My roaming is ON, EU is off, I have reset my network settings 4 times, reset all settings 5 times, performed numerous hard resets. My account is showing that all is switched on and Virgin have confirmed this but I'm not convinced. Thanks Dezzie, if I'm honest I don't think they know what day it is let alone what they're doing there to begin with. I've spoken to 5 different people and I may as well have just thrown my phone in the local river and enjoyed the holiday.
