has anyone had problems with data passes not working properly abroad?
I bought a data pass for my daughter to use on a school trip to Iceland. The pass didn't work properly (despite them confirming the day before that it was all set up and ready to go) and linked to Virgin "partners" instead which resulted in her phone being suspended and a £300 bill when she returned. Virgin are supposedly looking in to it but after several days I have heard nothing.
Call in and speak to them, they will be able to see if a data pass was bought and that it's not been used, then they should resolve the charging issue and restore service to the phone, it might take more than one call if you get a numpty
It's a bit late now as your daughter has returned, but I had a similar problem - data roaming was enabled on my account, and on the phone, but the pass didn't work. I had to call Virgin - at premium rates as I was overseas - and they told me that roaming hadn't been activated. After restarting the phone it was okay.
