Credit check for new contract

Hi,

 

I am trying to upgrade my mobile phone contract and have continually failed your credit check. I have checked my credit score and it appears to be very good so I can only assume there is a problem with you checking procedures. Could you give me a number or email address that I can contact to sort this out? I have been a Virgin customer for 12 years but if this can't be remedied I will have to leave Virgin Mobile.

 

It appears this is a common problem with your new tariff options.

Thanks Gorf,

 

I've done that and it appears loads of people are in the exact same boat as me. I need the Consumer Underwriting Services email address to take this any further. To be honest I think I will phone to cancel my contract as this is a ridiculous situation and far more hassle than it's worth.

happened to a colleague.

 

he applied for a new phone, was told they would contact him to confirm order within 48hrs, when this didnt happen he called again, again told would be back in contact.

 he had to phone for a 3rd time and asked why he was getting no call back, they then checked and he was told he failed the credit check and it was Virgins fault as each time he phoned they placed a new order everytime thus doing a credit check each time, they have now ruined his credit score and he also has no phone virgin wont help even though they caused the issue.....disgusting!

Is anyone from the forum team able to help here??? Seriously considering leaving Virgin Mobile if this isn't sorted this week.

I'm really sorry that you've been declined a contract through the credit check. I'm afraid there's not much that I can do regarding this as the system is automated.

 

Are you able to give us a call on 789 or 0345 6000 789 so we can check this over with the relevant teams?

I got in touch with the Consumer underwriting team via email and this has now been sorted and a new phone ordered.
