Changing Mobile Contract Phone

Hello,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, which is on the Unlimited everything tariff (Unlimited minutes, data and texts). I have bought a new Iphone 4 from a apple phone shop which didn't include a sim card. I was wondering if i could place my current virgin mobile contract sim card into my new Iphone 4?

Is this possible, and if not is there any way at all I can use my current contract on my new I phone 4 I've just bought?

Kind regards,

Edward

Re: Changing Mobile Contract Phone

Hi Edward,

I see no reason why not provided you keep paying of course. Except is the SIM slot the same size?

I believe your Galaxy has a regular Mini size SIM where as I believe the iPhone uses a Micro (smaler) size SIM.

If your SIM is one of the "3 in 1" type, then no problem but check this.

If you do need a new SIM. You'll have to give the Virgin mobile team a call on 789 from your Virgin mobile or 0345 6000 789 from any other phone & request a new SIM of the correct size.

You just have to pay for postage: 99p standard or £2.99 for next day.

Re: Changing Mobile Contract Phone

Ok. I'll try that. and when i put the correct sim card size in the iphone 4, will it load all of my unlimited everything allowances, contract features and current phone number straight away? Or do i need to phone virgin to get that part sorted?

Kind regards,
Edward

Re: Changing Mobile Contract Phone

Hi Edward,

your allowance and mobile number is on the SIM - no problem Smiley Happy

Your contacts list however, that will depend on how you or your phone chose to store them.

You will be responsible for transferring them.
