Cancelling 30 day rolling contract part way through the month

Hi,

I was wondering, if I cancel my 30 day rolling contract part way through my billing period, will I still pay the full monthly amount but lose my services for the remainder of the month? Also, does passing my PUK code to another provider automatically initiate cancellation of my contract?

Cheers

Ben

Re: Cancelling 30 day rolling contract part way through the month

Hi Ben,

if you wish to leave VM you need to call 789 and give 30 days notice of cancellation.

So unless you make the call on your refresh date you will still have to pay for one months tariff.

You can request a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) in the same call.

This code remains valid for 30 days but once you use it your Virgin SIM will become "dead".

It makes some sense therefore (financially) not use it just after your final refresh (thereby missing out on a few weeks of a tariff you've paid for).

Instead, use it just before the end of your 30 day notice period.

You contract will come to an end when the new provider acts upon it. You will not get a refund on your present account with Virgin.
