Can't send or receive MMS

I just got my new unlocked Smartphone (Galaxy Note 4) last week and transferred my Vodaphone number to Virgin Mobile.    Calls, email and regular text seem to be working fine but I cannot receive or send MMS messages.  I get 2 error messages saying "Service not activated on network" and "Server Response Error".

I was successful when I sent one to myself but not when I sent one to my daughter (who lives in New York).  I then tried to send one to my sister (who lives in UK) using Whatsapp but that didn't work either.

 

Any help?

I'm really sorry that you're having some issues with MMS messaging. I want to get this all sorted for you. So I can do this, are you able to let me know what happened when you tried to whatsapp message the picture?

 

This will allow me to establish where the fault lies as whatsapp uses mobile data and not MMS.

Sorry to take so long to respond but I was side-tracked with some email problems (now sorted, I think).  I've now been able to send MMS messages to UK numbers but I'm still getting the above errors when I try to send one to my daughter in New York.  SMS works fine to the same number.

 

I can't test a Whatsapp message to my daughter as she doesn't have it.

I would suggest not sending MMS messages to other countries unless this is via iMessage. Is your daughter able to download whatsapp to see if you can now send pictures?

 

Our network may be preventing you from sending these messages abroad.
