Can I change my mobile number mid contract?

I am halfway through a Two year contract and am looking at getting a different contract for myself. I want to keep my existing number but will be giving this current phone with its contract to a relative to use for the remainder of the contract. 

Can I port my number and keep this contract running on a different number?

You can indeed change your number midway through your contract Smiley Happy

 

Give us a call on 789 or 0345 6000 789 and we can make sure this is all sorted.

I'm in a similar situation to you in respect of this question and I've been looking to get the same done, but I'm constantly being told I cannot do this !!!.....Did you get your number moved over and another number allocated to the contract ?

Hi is it possible to transfer my virgin mobile number to a new sim mid contract? I would like an additional sim only deal but would like to transfer my existing number and despite this thread I am being told it is not possible!? Any ideas

Hi Seany88,

Welcome to the Community Forum and thanks for your post. There are various factors that have to be considered in order to answer this question. 

Basically, no--we aren't able to port your number from one Virgin Media contract to a new one. There is further advice on the Forum from other customers regarding this such as Transfer Virgin Mobile number to another (new) contract.

This also depends on your current tariff and contract, so you will need to ring in on 789 (Freephone from a Virgin Mobile), 150 (Freephone from a Virgin Mobile or Virgin Media landline) or 0345 6000 789 (from any other phone) to discuss this with us.
